Welcome! The Department of Geography at the University of Georgia (UGA) is a leading center of teaching and scholarship on the physical and social processes that shape our world. Our graduate program is characterized by its integrative approach, analyzing spatially complex issues through the lens of various scientific and theoretical perspectives and research methodologies. We are a community of 25 faculty members and 50-60 graduate students. Together with our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, we seek to foster a stimulating environment for intellectual growth and collaboration. Our program offers a diverse range of degree programs, including Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MS), and Doctoral of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Geography, as well as Integrative Conservation (ICON)/Geography, tailored to meet the unique goals of each individual.
