Program Description The Certificate in Local Food Systems is an interdisciplinary certificate designed to give students an overview of the concepts and issues of the local food movement. Students from any major, who have a professional or personal interest in local food systems, are provided the opportunity to explore the many interconnected issues of sustainably growing and consuming food. Other courses, not on the approved list above, may be included in the LFS Certificate program of study. Instructors and students should submit a request to the certificate coordinator for consideration.
